This article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the specific features of managing social service organizations within the unique conditions of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra (KhMAO-Yugra). The authors analyze the key factors that shape the distinctive management landscape of the region: demographic trends, including the specifics of the population’s age structure; the socio-cultural context related to the multinational composition and the special needs of indigenous peoples; economic realities driven by the resource-based nature of the economy; as well as the specifics of the current regulatory framework and the development level of the social service infrastructure sector. The paper presents an analysis of existing management models, identifies critical problem areas requiring immediate attention, and, based on the findings, proposes specific, scientifically grounded recommendations for improving the management system. These recommendations are aimed at significantly enhancing the efficiency and quality of services provided, as well as optimizing resource utilization.
