Developing Students' Social Competence through Pedagogical Approaches
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
Social competence—the ability to effectively interact, collaborate, resolve conflicts, and demonstrate empathy in diverse social contexts—is becoming one of the key soft skills in the context of digitalization, multiculturalism, and labor market transformation. This article argues that developing students' social competence is impossible without the targeted application of pedagogical approaches focused on active inclusion, reflection, and experiential learning. Effective methods are analyzed, including project-based and problem-based activities, cooperative learning, role-playing, service-learning, dialogue practices, and educational technologies based on the principles of inclusion and emotional intelligence. Particular attention is paid to the role of the teacher as a facilitator of social interaction and creator of a "safe learning environment." It is emphasized that developing social competence is not an optional element of education, but an integral component, ensuring graduates' readiness for life and professional work in a complex, unstable, and interdependent world.
