In an era of rapid growth in the gaming industry, with the global market surpassing $200 billion in turnover, the need for effective content and age-restriction management is urgent. This article examines key regulatory mechanisms that ensure accountability for content and age restrictions. The author analyzes global and local gaming industry rating systems and their adaptation to national regulations. The article examines voluntary and mandatory standards, highlighting their role in assessing elements and cultural characteristics. Particular attention is given to Russian legislation, which, through Roskomnadzor, guarantees the protection of minors through expert review and possible blocking. A comparative analysis highlights the differences between self-governing models (flexibility and rapid adaptation) and strict government approaches (localization and censorship). The final section proposes strategies for managers: integrating compliance into the product cycle, cultural adaptation, using AI for monitoring, and team training. The proposed measures help minimize the risk of fines and losses, turning regulations into a competitive advantage. In conclusion, the author notes the need for a balance between universal standards and specific market requirements for the development of the gaming industry sector.
