The authors consider the concept of graph theory, substantiate the relationship of graph theory with the methods of economic and mathematical modeling. It is determined that economic and mathematical modeling is critical for various areas of economic activity, providing tools for analyzing and studying financial and management processes both within individual enterprises and at the level of the national economy. The article analyzes the possibility of applying graph theory in various sectors of the economy. A number of examples of the practical application of graph theory in land management, geodesy, the sports industry and healthcare are given (the context of medical logistics is considered separately). The authors believe that graph theory provides a wide range of opportunities for solving various problems of economic content, as well as many interchangeable algorithms and methods for solving similar problems.
