A New Management Model: A Comparative Analysis of Scoring Systems in China and Russia
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
This article examines the transformation of institutional trust in the context of economic digitalization, using the implementation of algorithmic scoring systems in China and Russia as a case study. Business reputation and trust are considered as measurable managerial assets generated through big data analytics. A comparative analysis is conducted, contrasting the Chinese state-driven, "top-down" macro-management model with the Russian ecosystem-based, "bottom-up" corporate practice. The study identifies a convergence of these systems, leading to the depersonalization of actors and an increase in information asymmetry between platform management and users. To mitigate strategic risks, the paper substantiates the need for the institutional integration of independent algorithmic audit mechanisms and the formalization of a corporate "right to make a mistake."
