This article reviews methods of territory sustainable development assessement. Relevance of the research is based on the need to consider social, economic, and environmental factors holistically when assessing and managing a territory sustainable development. It was found that existing analytical methods are based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals or on groups of indicators that reflect the logic of sustainable development but emphasize specific aspects depending on the objectives of the method. Despite the wide variety of approaches, the methods do not take into account qualitative data or regional specifics, are based on fragmented assessments, and require a separate, large-scale study. This makes them difficult to use in decision making. The analytical tools studied do not allow for a comprehensive assessment of territorial sustainability for the purposes of territorial development management.
