The article examines the processes of digital transformation of business processes of enterprises in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District. Based on the analysis of data from the Caucasus Investment Forum 2026, industry statistics from the SME Corporation and initiatives of development institutions, the key challenges of digitalization in the district are considered: the unevenness of the digital infrastructure, the shortage of qualified IT personnel and the structural specifics of the economy. Special attention is paid to government support tools such as industry subsidies for healthcare digitalization, preferential lending programs for SMEs of the Bank, digital platforms ("Investment Hub"), as well as educational initiatives to improve digital literacy. Based on empirical data, two tables are presented that characterize the dynamics of SME structural adjustment in the North Caucasus Federal District and the key effects of digital transformation. The conclusion is made about the formation of a new model of the district's economy, where small and medium-sized businesses are gradually moving from a trading model to services, technologies and production with the growing role of digital platforms as integrators of business processes and channels of access to finance.
