Today, a modern Russian B2B distribution company operates in a state of continuous adaptation to respond to external challenges and competition from digital marketplace platforms. The relevance of the study is driven by the need to develop scientifically grounded approaches to modifying business models in the context of digital transformation in the Russian economy, optimizing business processes, and reorganizing work with business partners, clients, and employees. This study employs a mixed-method approach combining theoretical analysis and practical research methods. The theoretical framework builds upon Adizes organizational lifecycle model to identify critical developmental stages of companies. For business model analysis, the study utilizes Osterwalder and Pigneur's Business Model Canvas framework, as its conceptual foundation. Based on the analysis of the company's development and digital transformation outcomes, this study concludes that adopting a business ecosystem model is imperative for sustaining long-term competitive advantage in the Russian market. The research findings demonstrate that ecosystem-based strategies will be relevant for Russian mid-cap enterprises undergoing digital modernization.
